If it takes 4 minutes to cut a log into 4 pieces, how many minutes will it take to cut a log into 3 pieces?

To cut a log into three pieces you will have to cut it three times. That means to cut three times you are taking 4 minutes, which is 240 seconds. So on an average you need 80 seconds to console one cut.
So to make to cut you need 160 seconds.
